Jean Boxler's ancestors trace their Alsacian roots back to the 1600s, but it was Jean's grandfather Albert who first founded their family domaine in 1946, upon returning from the war. Not much has changed at the domaine isince then, and the wines are still made in old foudres in the cellar under the family home. From the grand Cru Brand, this wine is fragrant, almost heady, with notes of peaches, apricots and lime flower. The palate is dense, with layers of ripe citrus, honey and white blossoms.
