The Nittnaus family has been in the town of Gols, in the Neusiedler, Burgenland since 1684. The current Nittnaus estate was established by Hans’ grandfather Johann Nittnaus in 1927, and was taken over by Anita & Hans in 1985. Tannemberg is a combiation of two sides of the vineyard: the powerful body of the southside with the finesse and the elegance of the north side. A couple of acres of the Tannenberg consist of old vines, and they are the most important factor the wine’s extraordinary character.
