2006 Pommard Clos des Epennots Domaine de Courcel - Saturday, May 12, 2018
This wine was very rustic, very old school, but not in a good way. Too shaky, the balance wasn't right. The fruit was aggressive and massive. The earthy side of Pommard was the only one present. The wine was open and ready to drink but waiting might be the best option, time may be of some help. Value is correct and with a meal it would be interesting. I was disappointed with the result.

2005 Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets Lucien Boillot - Friday, May 11, 2018
Interesting to see a great terroir from an old school winemaker. The tannins were tight and aggressive; the fruit was alive and giving. It was a bit shaky. Once decanted, the wine started to show power and balance. KR

2004 Pouilly-Vinzelles Les Quarts Millerandee Bret Brothers - Friday, May 11, 2018
I felt like I was drinking Puligny-Montrachet! Stones, pineapple, honey just taken out of the hive, still vibrant and pure. Ready, drinkable and very, very enjoyable. KR

2004 Charmes Chambertin Arlaud - Friday, May 11, 2018
Just like a red orchid, the nose was wild and perfumed. The wine was very textural and vibrant, full of notes of berries, spices and violets. It was mineral and powerful until the very end. SR

2006 Gevrey-Chambertin Hubert Lignier - Friday, May 11, 2018
It was juicy, robust and charming. Very complete wine, no mistakes, perfectly made. Very Lignier, very Gevrey. I would drink this everyday.

2006 Morey St Denis Domaine Arlaud - Friday, May 11, 2018
Beautiful fruit. Almost too charming at the beginning. Not a single taste of oak. Pure texture from Morey. It opened up and became very sexy; it had the amazing crunch that I was waiting for. I had the impression of eating a bunch of fruit that I could of made juice from it. KR

2007 Meursault Tessons Pierre Morey - Friday, May 11, 2018
I opened it two and a half hours before our guests drank it. When I poured it we had a ton of acidity, it was showing vivacity and power, the minerality was so strong and so distinctive that we couldn’t think of anything but Meursault. The vintage was showing itself and the bottle didn’t have a single flaw.KR

1997 Morey-St-Denis 1er Cru Hubert Lignier: - Friday, May 11, 2018
Very different than the Chambolle Baudes 1997 we had recently. Amazing to see the difference between the terroirs, a real treat, a real experience. In this wine he fruit was deeper and bigger, much darker. Like looking into a tunnel without seeing the end, kind of nasty, almost, little kick of flowers, but once again, he would be a dark rose, voluptuous but arrogant. Likea nice car with a angry driver. Continued to develop aromas again and again. KR

1997 Chambolle-Musigny Les Baudes Hubert Lignier - Friday, May 11, 2018
I recommend it after opening it for Marco de Grazia couple of weeks ago. Superb, once again! It felt more like drinking Morey St Denis though: dark subtle fruit, silk fighting in our tongues. The tannins were singing, the wine was alive and screaming power. Opened 3 hours in advance. Outstanding. KR

Beautiful fruit, almost too charming at the beginning, not a simple oak taste though. Pure texture from Morey. It opened up and became very sexy; it had amazing chewiness that I was waiting for. I had the impression of eating a bunch of fruit that I could of made a juice from it. KR
