2017 Montlouis "Choisilles" Francois Chidaine

from the importer: "les Choisilles is a cuvée, usually blended from old vines in the vineyards of Les Epinais, La Taille aux Loups and Clos au Renard. It’s named after a type of black flint called (you guessed it) choisille. Les Choisilles is a concentrated, focused dry wine that often needs several years to develop."

2017 Savigny-les-Beaune Rouge 1er Fournaux Simon Bize

"Les Fournaux is the most eastern of the Savigny les Beaune premier crus. It has the finesse of Vergelsses but with more power coming from the clay soils. The Bize parcel is one hectare and was planted in 1962 and 1963. "Les Fournaux" refers to an oven used for melting ore and alludes to open-pit mining. Chisa Bize likes to describe wines from Les Fournaux as having the finesse of Aux Vergelsses but with more power coming from the clay soils." --importer Grand Cru
