Michele Perillo is a true garagiste. He makes small amounts of wines in a tiny facility in the Avellino sub-zone of Taurasi, from only four hectares of vines, planted at 600 meters above sea level, in an area of dramatic changes of temperature between day and night. Thanks to the volcanic soils, his old vines resisted philoxera. This wine is powerful and elegant with great extraction, but lovely balanced acidity. Serious and age worthy.
